Our Team Leader, Dr. Rob Gertler, has been communicating throughout the year with our host, Can Tho Medical University. Dr. Gertler invites colleagues to participate on our team in order to fill the surgery and teaching delegations requested by our host. Healing the Children maintains a warehouse in Seattle to store equipment and medications, much of which is donated for use by our overseas medical teams. In addition to the Viet Nam medical team, HTC has medical teams travelling this November to Guatemala (ENT surgery team, and Audiology team), and a foot and ankle surgery team to Nepal.
